This is the heartwarming #SuccessStory of Mohsin, a child whose health was our absolute top priority. He was diagnosed with a rare Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) known as Tetralogy Of Fallot (TOF), which can be fatal if left untreated. The name refers to 4 heart problems which occur simultaneously, decreasing the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream.
The treatment for TOF is known as a Total Correction, a relatively expensive procedure that Mohsin’s family was unable to afford. His father works as a security guard and supports his whole family, which includes his wife and 3 children, by himself. It was a tremendously trying time for all of them.
They desperately needed financial support. Luckily for them, that’s where we always come to the fore. As one of the leading organizations providing life-saving treatment to deserving and needful children suffering from CHD, Mohsin’s family, after facing multiple hurdles in the search for his treatment, brought him to the perfect place.
Our mission is to ensure that not a single child born with CHD in Pakistan remains untreated. Every single one of our patients gets access to world-class healthcare facilities, irrespective of their financial means. Furthermore, all other hospital-related formalities are also fully taken care of by us.
After an extremely quick screening and registration process, we made all the required arrangements for Mohsin’s impending heart surgery. The funds needed were swiftly arranged as well, thanks to our incredible donor base. Admirably, Mohsin’s father was also able to contribute almost half of them.
With a renowned Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon, along with his brilliant team of healthcare professionals on board to carry out the surgery, Mohsin’s health could not be in better hands. His family was also continuously praying for him, an unimaginably difficult time for them for sure.
What followed was a complex heart procedure that lasted a few hours. The entire surgical team, who can aptly be called miracle-workers, worked immensely hard and with impeccable precision. Blessedly, all that hard work paid off and little Mohsin could now be called a ‘CHD Warrior’.
Mohsin was now a fully healthy child who could go on to live a completely normal life. His family’s happiness was indescribable. They were so satisfied with how they were facilitated and treated, that they wished us success in all our projects. They felt eternally grateful to us for saving their child’s life and could not wait to start their new beginning as a family.
1 in 100 children are born with CHD, the world’s most common birth defect. We hope that these stories inspire even more people to join us on our journey to conquering CHD, so that we can continue shaping a brighter future for affected children and their families.
