#SuccessStories

Shahid, a remarkably resolute child, was diagnosed with a rare Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) known as TOF (Tetralogy Of Fallot). TOF is a heart defect that can be fatal if left untreated.  The name refers to 4 heart problems which occur at once, decreasing the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream. Symptoms include bluish skin colour, clubbed fingers, problems with eating, developmental delays etc.

CHDs such as TOF can be caused by a combination of different factors, such as genes or things the mother comes in contact with, including what she eats and drinks. TOF may be diagnosed during pregnancy or shortly after birth.

7-year-old Shahid’s father is a labourer who is the sole breadwinner in the entire family, which includes Shahid’s mother who is a housewife, his sister and 3 brothers. After going through unimaginable adversities in the search for his son’s treatment, and with limited resources available, Shahid’s father truly needed support to make arrangements for his son’s required procedure, a Total Correction.

Thankfully, that’s where our exceptional team stepped in. Having years of experience behind us resolving similar cases, all the necessary preparations for Shahid’s heart surgery were smoothly and meticulously taken care of.

Blessedly, Shahid’s surgery was a massive success and he overcame a life-threatening disease. His family, especially his inspirational father, can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their dream of living a life filled with moments of love and happiness together is now a reality.
