Kiran’s Success Story
Kiran was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) known as ASD (Atrial Septal Defect). In ASD there is a hole in the septum (wall) that divides the atria (upper chambers) of the heart. This hole may close on its own, but if it doesn’t, surgery is required. Symptoms include respiratory infections, skipped heartbeats etc.
The planned treatment for ASD is called an ASD Closure. This is a relatively expensive procedure that Kiran’s family could not afford. Her father is the sole breadwinner in the entire family, which includes her mother, a housewife, her brother and two sisters. With limited resources at their disposal, they desperately needed help for Kiran, their little bundle of joy.
We Healed Kiran’s Heart!
Kiran was referred to us by a renowned Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon who has been working alongside us for years. With our vast experience resolving similar cases, he knew that we would be able to readily step in and make all the necessary arrangements for Kiran’s heart surgery.
From patient registration to doctor’s appointments to any other hospital-related formalities, that’s exactly what we managed to do for Kiran’s family. 100 percent of the required funds for the operation were also swiftly arranged by us, thanks to our incredible donor base. With everything sorted pre-surgery, prayers were all that was needed.
Blessedly, after the remarkable work of our entire team, including our world-class healthcare professionals, the surgery was a massive success! Kiran was discharged as a 3-year-old CHD survivor whose heart we healed. Together, Kiran’s whole family will now be able to live a life filled with love and happiness.
1 in 100 children are born with CHD, the world’s most common birth defect. We hope that success stories of children like Kiran, who can now live a normal life, inspire more people to join us on the journey to conquering CHD and help us shape a brighter future.
